Since the beginning of mankind, contemporary history is supposed to be the closest and most important subject to us, but for some reason it ends abruptly during third term. The assassination of the prime minister which happened less than a hundred years ago only gets several lines in our textbooks. His background, his beliefs that led to his assassination, that’s what we should be learning about in the first place. But no one finds that wrong, because society still functions with education through rote learning. However the problems with this show up as the loss of our identity. We who only vaguely understand our roots lose self-confidence, become afraid of combat, and start adhering to others. The best example of this is people who get played by the media and conclude things using only one side of the information. Unknowingly our identities our taken away, and we’ve become spineless people who cannot live without depending on others.
People under this education who always pretends nothing is wrong are the ones who push down the weak, with spite that they don’t even realize is spite.
